My #1 choice for waxing & washing supplies is Prima Products from Prima Care Care (formerly Detailer's Paradise)

Hey Matt,
Can you (or anyone else) recommend a good professional detailer in the B'ham or Tuscaloosa area?  My VR '03 MC could really use a professional's touch.  I know I *should* do it myself, but I really don't have the time.  She has logged >115k miles and looks like it!
Any suggestions would be greatly accepted!

Sorry I do all my own detailing so I can't recommend anyone.  Maybe someone else will chime in with some good advice for you though :)

Hello all,
What a neat site, i'm a new owner of a 05 cooper s! I love it also, but was wondering of any ideas on how to get wax off of the black plastic moulding or ground effects? Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks! Kelly...

My trim looks horrible.  I have products that make it look good for a few weeks but nothing permanently gets the stuff off.  Currently I am using Prima Nero.  It makes my trim look great for a few weeks & application is pretty easy :)

Panda I have some Black WOW.  Many rave about it but I also found that anyone saying a dissenting word about BW was shot down on NAM by the BW creator & his fanbois.  I don't care for it at all.  Matter of fact I secretly wonder if BW is the cause of my trim being discolored & gray right now.  If you are going to be at a meet let me know & I will give you my bottle which is still at least or possible more than half full :)

Thanks for the offer, but, given your misgivings, I think I'll pass.  Months ago, someone (here I think) was talking about a source in B'ham for Aerospace 303 Protectant, but I'm not sure even that will restore faded trim.

"CarNut over on the MINI Owner's Lounge message board, has what looks like some good tips on waxing, etc.

I use 303, it's fantastic for the leatherette seats, dash, & other interior bits.  It doesn't restore the black to the exterior trim though & it doesn't last very long on it either.  Great stuff for the inside though :)

You can find it in B'ham at West Marine (think that's the name of it) located right across from the Galleria...

It looks like Amazon has been following this thread.  I received this from them today:

I have actually read about the "Forever Black" & plan to try it sometime in the future.  My plan is... when I have the money set aside & have made up my mind to have my trim painted, I am going to try Forever Black.  If it streaks & ruins my trim... I paint.  If it works... hooray!!  :D I don't paint  :bg
