Transmission Range Sensor
« on: July 11, 2010, 04:34:03 PM »
Well, I've had the 04 MINI for about 2 weeks.  The "Service Engine Soon" light came on today.  I brought the car by Autozone and had them pull any codes....P0705 - Transmission Range Sensor.  The MINI seems to be driving fine.  Any suggestions?  Anyone know of any good service shops in the Montgomery area?  First the power steering pump scare, now this....I sure hope this is not the way my MINI experience is going to continue. :hh

  • WillM,

    Dang!

I guess you're saving MINI of Birmingham as a last resort?  I haven't needed any work yet, but started a "just-in-case" list of shops in Montgomery.

If I am not mistaken, MOB will give youa 20% discount on all parts you being a club member. Don't quote me on that but wouldn't hurt to call them. When I bought some floor mats and driving gear the other day I got a 20% discount. Ask for Bryan.

Oh well, the service engine soon light went off this morning as soon as I started it up.  I did check connections yesterday afternoon - just wonder if it takes some time for the computer to reset.

I have had the "Service Engine Soon" light come on a couple of times on my '06. Usually clears up by the next tank full.
