ZOMG I am so tired
I had a blast yesterday but driving 3 hours, sitting in 96° heat for 1.5 hours waiting to get in, then once in still being in the heat although shaded, then driving home for 3 hours
Of course the Porsche won. We all knew that was gonna happen. MINI put up a huge fancy tent for us with lots & lots of great food & beverages, free t-shirts, ID lanyards, posters, knick-knacks... all FREE!! MINI really spared no expense. They put on a really nice, top notch event for us!!
Then the best part... we got free track time... on the big track not the autocross one
I got to take my MINI out on the Road Atlanta course for free!! Then the pace car told me I could go again right after I finished so I got to do it twice woohoo
Joe Rogan (from Fear Factor) was MC'ing the event. OK, I get off the track having just done 2 sessions of track time wearing a full helmet in the 96° heat. I have the most hideous helmat hair man has ever seen & I am sweating like a mofo... I pull into the parking lot thinking I will put my hair up into my hat once I park. But NOOOOOOO
I get stopped by Joe Rogan on the way in to be interviewed about the even in front of the camera. Of for the love please don't let me end up in an MINI commercial
I have no clue what they are going to do with all the footage but everyone had to sign a waiver on the way in allowing MINI to use images of them & I had to sign an even more thorough waiver after Joe interviewed me.
After they turned the camera off I told Joe it was very nice to meet him & that Fear Factor was one of my favorite shows. He smiled & said thank you & was very very nice. After I drove away I was like WTF did I just say?? I bet that man gets so sick of people saying "I loved you on Fear Factor"
